Aftercare Advice Anti-Wrinkle Treatment

The following aftercare advice is essential to help reduce the risk of treatment complications, to improve your healing and to help achieve the best results possible from your treatment.

After treatment, the skin may be red or bruised at the injection sites. These after-effects will resolve, expected within a few days (please be aware it can take up to two weeks for more extensive bruising to resolve).
Occasionally a headache is experienced, which can last for one to two days. This can be controlled with simple, over the counter analgesia.

Please follow the below aftercare advice:

• Exercise the injected muscles periodically for four hours post-treatment to increase the uptake of treatment.
• Avoid applying makeup to the treated areas for twenty-four hours as this will help reduce the risk of infection.
• Avoid extremes of temperature, saunas or swimming for the first twenty-four hours.
• Avoid exercise, strenuous activity or alcohol for the first twenty-four hours as this can worsen bruising.
• Do not lie flat for the first four hours, remaining upright to reduce product migration.

*For excessive sweating treatments, keep the under-arm clean and avoid antiperspirants as either roll-on or aerosol for twenty-four hours following treatment. Do not shave the under-arm for twenty-four hours. 

Medical attention must be sought and contact us if you experience any signs or symptoms of infection after treatment (i.e., hot, red shiny skin with potential pus formation and fever).

Emergency medical attention must be sought if you experience any severe allergy symptoms after treatment (i.e., rash, facial swelling or breathing difficulties).

Please contact us as soon as possible if you notice any other side effects.

Allow two weeks before assessing results of treatment. If concerns, please contact us. A clinic appointment for review at two weeks to assess treatment result is thoroughly recommended.

Please note, for jawline slimming and non-surgical neck lift treatments, please allow up to four weeks before assessing the results of treatment.
